The Journey Continues …

Thanks for rejoining me.

in 2009 I was in the midst of a season of beginnings and endings. I had ended full time employment the Summer of 2008 and began being the main teacher of my children who turned 9 7 and 3 in my first semester at the helm. I began being part of a home school cooperative and said hello to many like minded friends who Are now part of my life. With hellos also come goodbyes and I said goodbye to a younger brother in April of 2009 at least until the roll is called up yonder.

I also began blogging. I starte blogging. Blogging about my successes and failures on the home school front. Blogging about my grief. Blogging about blogging. But mostly blogging about my adventures with my 3 crazy kids and my best friend who is also crazy, crazy enough to marry me and share a life with me.

Many changes have happened since then. More hellos more goodbyes chages in location, vocation. No changes in echolocation, I still can’t do it.

I had abandoned the Home school Dad blog amid these changes. However, I still kept blogging, teaching, being crazy and loving my family. I recently found a way to load all of my Home School Dad blog here on Woed Press. I plan to put some more posts here but mainly to use it as an archive to celebrate 10 years.

Here are some then and now pictures to bring this post to an end.

Checking in

I haven’t posted here for quite a while.  But 2 things have changed over the past year that I wanted to share here just in case anyone still stops by.

One:  We started homeschooling again

This is on a more limited basis.  My youngest graduated from high school last Spring and My son is a sophomore at a local high school.  Our schedule has allowed us to homeschool our youngest.  We are using the same online curriculum that bunny girl (our oldest) used her Freshman year in high school.  She and I are back in our old co-op again, and she volunteers at a local public school once a week running the school store.

Two: I am writing again.

When I went back to full-time employment 5 years ago my writing became more sporadic.  I realized it is such a big part of who I am, that I really can’t give it up entirely.  To that end, I have started a new blog

Not sure how much time, I will devote to my writing but I do feel better when I am putting words on a page or on screen.
